Sigur Ros @ Bass Concert Hall, 2/26/2006

My ears are still ringing and I'm still seeing tracers. That's how good last night's show was. Sigur Ros, who I'd never seen before, put on a great show that completely blew away both of the aforementioned senses. Despite getting hosed by some girl bitch after posting the best Sigur Ros ticket ad on Craigslist ever, the night was spectacular. Check it:

The openers were these four girls from the Sigur Ros orchestra,
who were quite good (one even played the band saw)

This translucent curtain they had up was pretty awesome

Changing colors

The curtain is lifted; the band actually exists

Those pesky tracers

The curtain descents once again towards the end

The Full Band Bow

Mass Exodus

If for some reason you missed last night's show (and you have lots of gas and money), drive to Fort Worth to see tonight's performance at Bass Performance Hall (what is it with Texas venues and the word "Bass"?). You might even run into Chris from Gorilla vs. Bear while you're there.

LEGIT! that is the only way i can describe last nights show. straight up legit. these pics are nice but do nothing to fully express how money it was seeing that in person. the shadow thing they did w/ the curtain should be done by every band forever. thanks for the pics zoo.

You got some nice pics. I decided not bring my camera to this one.

This show really exceeded my expectations. So nice to attend a show with professionally mixed sound in a proper hall -- it really did the band justice.

I also didn't bring my camera, which was a mistake. Your pictures are great.
